Lapham’s Quarterly goes on “temporary hiatus” so that the Board of the American Agora Foundation can “consider all options that will not only let the print publication resume in 2024 but enable us to thrive in a climate that is increasingly inhospitable to print magazines focused on history, literature, and ideas—all of which we feel have never been more important.”
Lin-Manuel Miranda builds a new performing arts center in northern Manhattan: “Clearly dedicated to the celebration and amplification of the city’s diverse immigrant communities, the new theater will be the home of performances that, according to an official press release, ‘center and explore the breadth of immigrant experiences represented in New York City.’”
